ResurFX™ (Skin Resurfacing)
The ResurFX™ is a module of the advanced M22 Lumenis system that we are using in the skin clinic. It is fractional non-ablative technology. ResurFX™ uses a 1565nm fiber laser with a very advanced scanner which enables us to choose from more than 600 combinations of shape, size and density for optimal treatment results. And the handpiece has continuous cooling, to try and help with patient comfort during the treatment.
The ResurFX™ can be used to treat scars (acne and surgical), pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and resurfacing of the skin for a smoother, more youthful skin appearance. The laser penetrates the scar and breaks down the hardened scar tissue. New collagen starts to form to help smoothen the scars.
